Beldon Kattleman had the distinction of being the owner of the El Rancho Hotel - the first hotel on the Las Vegas strip. This check is also signed by Carl Cohen - the Casino Boss appointed by Howard Hughes. It was Cohen who punched out Frank Sinatra at the Sands Hotel. Sinatra never performed at the Sands again.
