Charles T. Loehr served as a sergeant with the Confederate State of America.  His regiment was present at the battles at first Bull Run, Yorktown, Williamsburg, Fair Oaks, Seven Days, second Bull Run, and at Gettysburg.  At Gettysburg Loehr gained fame when he was wounded saving the Confederate flag.  Loehr was captured at the battle at Five Forks.  This chek was signed by W.L. Cowardin he served with Company C of the 1st Virginia Infantry Regiment at Bull Run, Yorktown, Williamsburg, second Bull Run, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, and Cold Harbor.  This was a check on his company, the Virginia Fire and Marine Insurance Company.  This Charles T.
