Cyrus Alger was the greatest metallurgist of his day who operated the most famous foundry involved in the American Civil War.  Alger supplied the United States government with canons and canon balls.  During the Civil War his canons were present in almost every campaign and participated in every major engagement.  A Cyrus Alger autograph is a great piece among Civil War collectors and firearm enthusiasts. This reproduction would look great in an album or display.
