American diplomat who served in the House of Representatives and as Secretary of State under Ulysses S. Grant. While serving as Secretary of State, Fish negotiated a $15.5 million settlement against Britain for damages inflicted during the Civil War on Union vessels by Confederate warships built in British ports.  This reproduction would look great in an album or display.
