In 1963 James Meredith became the first black graduate in University of Mississippi's 113-year history. His admission was assured with the dispatch of thousand of federal troops ordered by President John Kennedy. As evidenced by thic check, Meredith continued to patronize his alma mater. Meredith's story is described in "Money Secret's of the Rich and Famous."  This reproduction would look great in an album or display.
