James Monroe was the last Revolutionary War soldiers to serve as president.  James Monroe was also the last of America's Founding Fathers.  In 1817, James Monroe described America as a nation with financial growth unprecedented in the history of civilization. Two years later irregular banking practices and a burst real estate bubble triggered America's first economic depression. This reproduction would look great in an album or display.
