John Adams was the second president of the United States.  The parents of the recipient of this check, Thomas and Abigail Kent Welsh, were among the closest friends of John and Abigail Adams-a friendship that began in the 1780s and lasted through the 1820s. When their last son was born in 1792, he was baptized John Adams Welsh-after the couple's friend, John Adams.  Unlike most of our reproductions, this one is only of medium quality. This reproduction would look great in an album or display.
