John Brown was a staunch abolitionist whose actions ignited the Civil War, stop slavery, and give birth to the Civil Rights movement for African-Americans in America. John Brown captured the federal armory in an attempt to encourage freed slaves to form an army. However, a small force led by Robert E. Lee overpowered him. He was subsequently sentenced to death after being found guilty for murder, treason and slave insurrection. This reproduction would look great in an album or display.
