John Montagu, also known as the Earl of Sandwich, served as First Lord of the Admiralty, for whom the Sandwich Islands, now Hawaii, were originally named.  He is best remembered for inventing the sandwich, which allowed him to eat without leaving the gaming tables which were his overwhelming passion.  A John Montagu autograph is a wonderful conversation piece.  This John Montagu reproduction makes a great display for home or office.
