On July 22, 1934, outside a Chicago movie theatre, FBI agents led by Melvin H. Purvis (1903-1960) shot and killed Public Enemy Number One, John Dillinger. Purvis was also involved with the arrests of Ma Barker, Baby Face Nelson, "Machine Gun" Kelly, and Pretty Boy Floyd. Tragically, Purvis gunned himself down when he committed suicide in 1960  A Melvin Purvis autograph is public friendly #1.
