Marilyn Monroe Modeling Picture

This fantastic rare photo of a beautiful 19-year old Norma Jean Dougherty from her first modeling job with the Blue Book Model Agency is one of the few special portraits offered on our website. Norma Jean served as hostess at an industrial show held at the landmark Pan Pacific Auditorium in Los Angeles. To be available for this job, she called in sick at the Radio Plane Company and was paid $10 a day for modelling at the show. The photographer gave Norma Jean this photo and she used it in her portfolio. Cool! This image is available for one-time use as a 4X6 print. This Marilyn Monroe image was published with a revealing biographical chapter in Money Secrets of the Rich and Famous.

Marilyn became the darling of photographers.  Photographer Richard Avedon said tat Marilyn understood what makes a great photograph.  Marilyn became the most photographed woman in the world.  Since her early modeling days she has been photographed thousands of times by thousands of photographers.  Some of her mosty memorable photo shoots include the red velvet calendar photos of 1949, the first Life magazine cover of 1952, sitting on a chair in 1953, cover photo of the first issue of Playboy magazine, in a black hat with fishnet in 1956, lying in bed with a flower in 1956, and holding a white pillow in 1962.

Marilyn was also in 29 major movie films.  Still pictures from these films have become available to collectors.  The first film with Marilyn Monroe was Scudda Hoo! Scudda Hey! in 1948.  The last film that Marilyn appeared in was The Misfits in 1960.  It was also the last film that Clark Gable appeared in since he died shortly after filming the movie.

This Marilyn Monroe modeling photo reproduction would look great in an album or display.
