Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822), one of the greatest romantic poets of England, was expelled from Oxford in 1811 for circulating the pamphlet "The Necessity of Atheism." Shelley married Mary Wollstonecraft, the author of "Frankenstein" and died after his boat capsized in a storm off the coast of Pisa, Italy. Shelley is buried in Rome. This check was written shortly after publishing "Revolt of Islam." This reproduction would look great in an album or display.
