Robert Frost was one of the foremost American poets who won two Pulitzer prizes.  The date and payee of this check indicates that it was probably for travel expenses to read poetry at the presidential inauguration of John Kennedy.  His autograph image, especially on this type of association item, is a wonderful conversation piece.  This reproduction would look great in an album or display.
