Sam Cooke recorded many rhythm-and-blues and soul classics including You Send Me, Cupid, and Twistin' the Night Away. The brother of Sam Cooke, L.C. Cooke, composed many of Sam Cooke recordings.  Sam Cooke was the first major African-American singer to sign with RCA records.  When he first appeared in New York City, a reproduction of his head at a cost of $10,000 a month advertised his presence.  The sign read: Sam, The Biggest Cooke in Town.  In 1964, he was shot and killed in a motel room under mysterious and unresolved circumstances.  This Sam Cooke autograph image is a great piece of memorabilia from one of the definitive icons of soul music.
